More Gossip Girl Spinoff News

Published by rachelle under Gossip Girl Edit This

Well there are new details emerging about the Gossip Girl spinoff. Apparently the show will focus on a young Lilly van der Woodsen and her wild child ways as a teenager. The show will feature Lilly’s fall out with her parents, her living in the valley with her sister, and oh yeah attending public school. I wonder if there will be a young Roofus involved at all?
Gossip Girl executive producers are currently working on a pilot for the untitled spinoff. Word is that the May 11th episode of Gossip Girl will be a backdoor episode for the new spinoff. With a date to introduce the spinoff it looks like it is all systems a go for the new show. I have to say I was very anti a Gossip Girl spinoff because I thought that it would take one of the current characters from the show. However, now that I have learned it will be about a young Lily I am not quite so against it. I think that it could be quite good and am actually excited to watch it.

Patrick Swayze’s New Show The Beast

Published by rachelle under Uncategorized Edit This

Tonight the new A&E series The Beast, starring Patrick Swayze, begins at 10PM EST. Swayze plays a veteran FBI agent with shall we say a lack of morals who gets a new rookie partner, played by Travis Fimmel. The veteran agent has a hard-edge, psychologically driven, approach to undercover work which is how he trains the new rookie. In a line of work where life and death decisions are made and a moment’s hesitation can cost you your life, these two completely different agents will have to learn not only to work together but to have each others backs.
The show itself does sound quite intriguing and I know some people who have seen the pilot and they said it is an awesome show. I personally will be tuning in to see Swayze. He is a phenomenal actor and I am excited to see him working again. That is really all I have on the show for now. I could go on and on about Patrick Swayyze but I won’t, so everyone tune in tonight to see the debut of The Beast.

Bye Bye Prison Break

Published by rachelle under Fox Edit This

It is with my deepest regret that I must spread the news that the beloved show Prison Break has officially been cancelled. Fox announced yesterday that the show will end its run after the 4th Season, which is the current season. The final episodes will begin airing on April 17th. Although I love Prison Break and am saddened by this news, I can totally understand why Fox is canceling the show. In all honesty there is only so much you can do with a show that is supposed to be based on breaking out of prison. Granted the show did an excellent job with the concept having 2 seasons that focused on breaking out of prison. However, the current season although good, doesn’t have much to do with the initial concept, I don’t think anyway. Plus when the show first came out I heard that creator Paul Scheuring only had a storyline arc that would go for 4 seasons. On a side note, I am still so far behind on this season, I think like 7 episodes maybe. Don’t get me wrong I think this season is great; I just can’t seem to get caught up. Looks like I will need to make sure I am all caught up by April 17th. I want to say that I will miss Michael, Lincoln and the rest of the crew. More will be posted on this subject as the finale nears this spring.

What’s Up With Grey’s?

Published by rachelle under ABC Edit This

I want someone to tell me what the heck is going on with Grey’s Anatomy? It is in such shambles as I like to say, almost like the writers have no clue what direction to take the show in. The whole Denny thing is absurd and the Callie is she or isn’t a lesbian is ridiculous. And I don’t even care if they make her a lesbian, just figure it out. I thought perhaps they were going to get her with
Meredith’s intern friend but I just read that Melissa George, who plays Sadie the intern, has quit the role. So go figure. And can we please give Sloan a storyline besides being a male slut. Eric Dane is a great actor and his talent is wasted. I am voting for a Sloan/Callie pairing. Now back to the Denny thing, seriously unless Izzy has a brain tumor and is dying there is no good reason for this storyline. If the writers play this as she is crazy I will drop this show, I swear.
Enough said on that subject, lets talk about Alex. Can the writers please turn him back into being the jerk we all know and love, not this sap he has been turned into. Fans love Alex because he is a jerk who occasionally shows us glimpses of a good guy. Please give us back the real Alex. George, Little Grey and the other interns have no purpose on show.
As for Derek and Meredith, do they even like each other anymore because they sure seem to be annoyed with each other all the time. Anyway this is one Grey’s fan who is quickly becoming and ex-Grey’s fan. I sincerely hope that something changes with this show soon or it is going to be dropped. I don’t have time to watch crap, unless it is good crap but this is just bad bad bad!

Kyle XY

Published by rachelle under ABC Family Edit This

Kyle XY the sci-fi type hit on ABC Family returns for an all-new season tonight at 9PM EST. I am going to start off by admitting that I have never actually watched an episode of Kyle XY but the more I see previews and the more I read about it, I get more intrigued. I am obviously confused by the premises because I haven’t watched it but so many people say it is an awesome show. I have put this show on my Itunes list of must see shows, in fact it might very well be the next one I watch once I finish with Weeds. You know a show is pretty good when it is shown across a couple of networks and ABC Family has done that a few times with this show, they will air it on ABC. Anyway I don’t have too much else to say on the subject just that I think it is a show that could be something you may want to watch. If you currently watch Kyle XY please let me know what it is that makes you like the show. And if you can give me any background information it would be appreciated.

24 Returns

Published by rachelle under Fox Edit This

24 is back finally! It has been basically 2 years since us 24 fans have gotten to see Jack Bauer in action. Granted there was the 2-hour movie in November but that was pretty much a teaser for fans. The 4-hour, 2-night event begins tonight at 8PM EST on Fox. That is right in classic 24 form the show will air four hours right away to kick things off. I love it that 24 does that, because I always get hooked in the first hour. Clearly I am a huge TV fan with a blog called TV Fanatic but I gotta say 24 seriously is my all time favorite show. There are very few shows that I watch live since the invention of the DVR, but 24 is a must see night of live show in my book. The action is great, the storylines kick ass and the cast is always phenomenal. And I am not just talking about Keifer Sutherland who I think is amazing as Jack Bauer. Whether the cast is recurring or a series regular the characters aare brilliant and the actors the same. Seriously 24 is hands down the best show on television and for me to say that considering how much I love Gossip Girl you know it has to be true. So settle in for a huge 24 event starting tonight at 8PM EST.

Howie Do It

Published by rachelle under NBC Edit This

Well it looks like Deal or No Deal Host Howie Mandel is getting a second job starting tonight. NBC debuts Howie’s new unscripted show Howie Do It at 8PM EST. The show will take unsuspecting people each week and let them believe they are going to be on some game show or a new reality show. Unfortunately for them they will discover, a lot too late, that they are being pranked by Howie and his crew. Wow that talk about embarrassing getting pranked like that on TV in front of millions of viewers. I am guessing it is not so great for the people being pranked but hysterically funny for those of us who are watching. If you want to catch some videos and preview clips of the show to get a better idea of what I am talking about you can go to http://www.nbc.com/howie-do-it/. I watched some of the video clips last night and they are awesome. But seriously with Howie involved how can the show not completely rock. I think he is so freaking funny. The show seems a little bit similar to Punk’d only better I would say because it is with real people and not celebrities. Ok so don’t forget to check out Howie’s new show tonight at 8PM on NBC.

Patrick Swayze Talks To Barbara Walters

Published by rachelle under ABC Edit This

In an exclusive interview last night Patrick Swayze talked to Barbara Walters about his battle with Pancreatic Cancer . Patrick opened up about his fight battling a disease that could cost him his life. With his wife Lisa by his side they gave Barbara and viewers a first hand look at what life has been like since Patrick’s diagnosis. Patrick also showed off his amazingly beautiful California ranch. And of course it wouldn’t be an interview if Patrick didn’t plug his new show The Beast, which begins January 15th on A&E. I for one was amazed by this interview and I haven’t even watched all of it yet. I have been a huge fan of Patrick’s since he played Darry in my all time favorite movie The Outsiders. I was so upset when I heard about his diagnosis especially when so many crap tabloids basically had him on his deathbed. I am thrilled he is doing so well. If you misssed the interview you can log onto ABC.com and watch it in full.

The People’s Choice Awards Tonight

Published by rachelle under CBS Edit This

Awards season officially begins tonight with the People’s Choice Awards at 9PM EST. I love awards season and last year was a crap season because of the writers strike. Remember the debacle that was the People’s Choice Awards last year, OMG it was awful. And I mean no disrespect to Queen Latifah by saying that. I understand that everyone involved wanted to do something and that there wasn’t much to work with, I get that, I am just saying thank god the real awards are back tonight. I like the People’s Choice Awards because it is voted for by us fans and quite frankly I think it should be the most important awards show of the season. It isn’t clearly since it is scheduled on the Wednesday before The Golden Globe Awards. However everyone knows that with out the fans there would be no successful TV shows, or movies, or actors. Ok so it is pretty clear I will be tuning in tonight, will you?
