The Starter Wife A New USA Series
In the summer of 2007 USA aired the miniseries The Starter Wife. Well it was so successful that USA has turned it into a full-fledged series and it begins tonight. I did watch the miniseries and I thought it was good. However the thing is, that is aired in the summer and sometimes with summer shows we can think they are better than they really are because nothing is on in the summer. That being said Debra Messing was amazing as Molly the newly single/jilted ex-wife of a film executive. With the help of her friends, including the fabulous Judy Davis as alcoholic Joan, Molly learns how to start over. Gigi Levangie Grazer wrote the best selling novel on which the miniseries was based. I would say give this show a chance. I mean it had laughter, tears friendship, you know all the things that give you a kind of a feel good show. Like I said I did like the miniseries and I have faith that it will prove to be more than just a summer miniseries. So I say check out the 2-hour premiere tonight at 8PM on USA, and of course let me know what you think.
