James E. Reilly

Some of you may not know who James. E Reilly is, but let me tell you he was one of the greatest writers in the daytime industry. Mr. Reilly recently passsed away leaving those in the daytime industry to mourn the loss of such a profound man. Not only was he an unbelieveable storyteller, I know this because Days went down hill so fast when he left, but from what I have heard he was an amazing person too. You all know that I am a huge fan of the daytime inudsty, well personally I believe James E. Reilly was the best in daytime. Some have refered to him as a legend and I believe that is true. I feel that the daytime community has suffered an enormous loss with the passing of Mr. Reilly. He was respected by all and will be missed. Like I said above I know his talents from watching Days of Our Lives, but many know his talents from the show Passions. Passsions was his baby so speak. It was corky, unsusal, controversal and yet it had the romance, intruige and great story telling of all other Soap Opera’s. The reason for the success of a show such as Passions is because of Mr. Reilly, he took the risk to give viewers something other than the norm and if paid off for him. I didn’t watch Passions on a regular basis but my mom did so I would see it every now and then and I would think how amazingly talented Mr. Reilly was to have come up with such a show. I as a writer only wish that I had the chance to meet the man whose career I admire so much. James E. Reilly the daytime community will not be the same without you.
