There are a lot of rumors circulating about a Gossip Girl spinoff. It is a tough time for The CW and they are looking for another hit like Gossip Girl. Which is quite interesting because although Gossip Girl is a much talked about show, it does not get good rating for The CW. Everyone in the TV world knows that ratings rule TV land. Anyway that is beside the point. Apparently they will pull a Grey’s Anatomy and have a episode that kicks off the spinoff, you know like the one where Addison went to LA. No word on which character will be getting their own show. I want to make it clear that I think a spinoff is a stupid idea. I think Gossip Girl is still a work in progress, a good one but still it does need work. Season 2 has had some fantastic moments but it has definitely lost some of its luster from Season 1. I think The CW should focus on making Gossip Girl the best it can be before making a spinoff. Granted if the spinoff does actually happen, it is in very early development stages, I will of course watch it. I sincerely hope though that the show doesn’t get a spinoff yet. I feel like so many shows are ruined with a spinoff. I get why networks do it but I feel like it never works. Alright that is of course just my opinion.
