Well there are new details emerging about the Gossip Girl spinoff. Apparently the show will focus on a young Lilly van der Woodsen and her wild child ways as a teenager. The show will feature Lilly’s fall out with her parents, her living in the valley with her sister, and oh yeah attending public school. I wonder if there will be a young Roofus involved at all?
Gossip Girl executive producers are currently working on a pilot for the untitled spinoff. Word is that the May 11th episode of Gossip Girl will be a backdoor episode for the new spinoff. With a date to introduce the spinoff it looks like it is all systems a go for the new show. I have to say I was very anti a Gossip Girl spinoff because I thought that it would take one of the current characters from the show. However, now that I have learned it will be about a young Lily I am not quite so against it. I think that it could be quite good and am actually excited to watch it.

I want someone to tell me what the heck is up with Gossip Girls Jenny Humphrey?  After watching last week’s episode I was like I do not like this new direction at all. Her makeover is awful and she looks way older than 15. I think part of it has to do with the fact that in real life portrayer Taylor Momsen is actually only 15. The rest of the cast is older but Taylor is so young to be looking the way she does. I feel like the writers are ruining her character, to have her drop out, then leave home, etc it is all too much. I liked Jenny better when she was battling Blair for queen bee, it was at least a little more believable. I don’t know I just got this really uneasy feeling the whole time I was watching anything that had to with Jenny. And for the record I do not like Jenny with Nate, I think he should be with Vanessa. That is my 2 cents.

Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl has to be the best character on television. I know there are many of you out there who might not agree with me, but I am telling you it is true. Every time I watch Gossip Girl I am amazed at what a kick ass character Chuck Bass is. The writing of this character is genius and hottie Ed Westwick portrays him perfectly. If you don’t watch Gossip Girl, then I suggest you watch it just purely to see what I am talking about. Oh he is evil, and cruel, yet compassionate and charming at the same time so much that you will actually forget he is a bad guy. I am telling you Chuck Bass is the best character on television. Ladies you know I am right. Anyway I really just had to share that with you. Yes I love Chuck Bass, who is with me?

I literally just got done watching Gossip Girl and all I can say is WOW! I shamefully admit that I was starting to actually write off Gossip Girl. The first few episodes lacked that OMG factor that made Gossip Girl a hit last year. I really thought the show was going to suffer from the second season slump that so many great shows go through, a kind of growth process if you will. Well I gladly admit I was so wrong. Last nights episode proved that the OMG factor is still a major player in this show. Talk about shocking, the episode packed a lot of punches so to speak. It also set the stage for what I now have full confidence will be a kick ass second season. I am still in disbelief over all the events that transpired. Gossip Girl had moved to my, I can watch it later section, but not anyone it is back as a must see night of show. I can hardly wait for next week. I know there are GG fans out there, so let me know what you thought of last nights show.  Gossip Girl I am so glad you are back on top.
